LEGO TOWER OF LONDON AND TOWER BRIDGE

Ils disent "aou".

Ex: Ale (biere) devient aou; Dale devient Daou, mail (courrier) devient maou, rail raou etc.

    Intriguant, non?

During the journey on the train from London Paddington to Windsor, Anita and I were cracking up cos we had to change at Slough (Anneso, this one is for you!!), just a meaningless town, which still reminds me of The Office everytime I hear that name. The thing is Anita was quite surprised at the pronunciation of the name Slough. Thus, we couldnt help laughing while repeating the word countless times...

While on the subject of pronunciation, let me tell u I also initiated Anita to the wonderful Essex accent. But first I need to acknowledge this to Dale who lives in Essex (but doesnt speak with an Essex accent, dear God no!!). To sum it up Essex people cant pronounce words ending with the syllable "ale". Instead they have to say "aw".

Eg: Ale becomes aw; Dale becomes Daw; mail becomes maw; rail raw...

    Funny, he?

    Commentaire de Anita (24/06/2006 23:09) :

Maybe you should take Daw to Slaw and drink an aw with him there. Then you can go back to London, come by at East Ham and pick up your maw ;D

Brilliant! That was a good one actually! We had soooo much fun, girl! ;-)
