Le weekend du 2/3 décembre a été riche en sorties!
Vendredi après le taf j'ai rejoint ma copine Rania et on est allées se prendre un méga goûter chez Haagen-Dazs... miam! En fait y a un café Haagen-Dazs à Leicester Square et il est souvent plein, victime de son succès!! C'était la première fois que j'y allais, Rania m'y a initié! Je vous raconte pas la taille des glaces, chocolats chauds... Et le décor est super, canapés bien confortables... Bref, un délice, un paradis!!
Puis samedi on se rejoint à Waterloo vers midi pour ensuite prendre le train et passer la journée à Kingston dans l'ouest de Londres - certains d'entre vous connaissent tres bien... (Linda, Juju et cie)
Kingston est un endroit que j'adore parce qu'on ne sent pas du tout à Londres - en effet, c'est en zone 6 et je crois même que ça fait partie du Surrey. Seulement à 25 min en train de Waterloo et pourtant le paysage est complètement different. L'atmosphère dans les rues change aussi. Il y a tout pleins de décos et on sent l'esprit de Noël.
Le temps est propice aux balades, shopping et autres. On commence donc par le centre commercial Bentalls qui est déjà énorme et sur plusieurs étages bien sûr. Aprés s'être bien baladées dans les magasins à l'intérieur, on tente aussi notre chance à l'extérieur. Il y a tout pleins de petites rues super agréables avec des boutiques toutes aussi alléchantes les unes que les autres.
The weekend of December 2nd-3rd was just a great one for me!
On Friday I met up with my friend Rania after work and we went to that amazing place, Haagen-Dazs... yum! There is indeed a Haagen-Dazs café in Leicester Square and it's very often packed, a sign of its success!! It was the first time I'd been there and Rania introduced me to this wonderful place! U can't even imagine the size of the ice-creams, hot chocolates and special desserts... And the deco itself was really nice, with very comfy couches... In a word, it was a total bliss!!
Then, on Saturday we met up at Waterloo round lunchtime to take the train to Kingston where we wanted to spend the whole day. Kingston is in the south-west of London, and some of you will smile and remember the place... (Linda, Juju & co)
Kingston is definitely a place I love because you don't feel like you're in London anymore. It is indeed located in zone 6 and is even part of Surrey if I remember well. It takes you only 25 min on the train from Waterloo and yet the landscape is so different and so is the general atmosphere round there. The streets were filled with decorations and you could feel the Xmas spirit already.
The weather was mild and perfect for our shopping spree. We started by having a look in the big shopping centre, Bentalls, which of course comprises of several floors. After buying a few stuff there, we headed towards the shops outside the mall. The streets are very cosy with lots of very appealing little shops.
