Du 23 au 26 mars, je suis donc allee a Barcelone avec Melissa, une copine de Londres. On est parties le vendredi aprem de Luton Airport pour arriver a l'aeroport de Reus (au sud de Barcelone) en fin d'aprem. C'etait genial de voir le soleil toujours present meme a 18h ou 19h (pas comme en GB a cette periode-la!)... Les paysages aussi nous disaient direct qu'on etait en Espagne (la terre rouge, des oliviers partout, des maisons avec un style reconnaissable...).
Nous sommes finalement arrivees dans le centre de Barcelone, on a pris le metro comme des grandes et puis la, un gentil garcon est venu nous aider a trouver notre chemin. Il parlait anglais et aussi francais. En fait, il etait bresilien. Tout le long du sejour, on s'apercevra qu'il y a beaucoup de Bresiliens a Barcelone!
Bref, il nous a laisse tout pres de la ou etait notre hotel, juste a cote des Ramblas. Sympa! On a donc depose nos affaires puis on est parties manger dans un bar a tapas (ou le serveur etait ... devinez!! Bresilien, eh oui!). Voila, ensuite on est rentrees, et dodo pour etre en forme pour attaquer les premieres visites!

From March 23rd to 26th, me and my pal Melissa went to Barcelona. We flew on the Friday from Luton Airport and arrived at Reus Airport (South from Barcelona) early evening. It was lovely to see the sun even if it was already 6 or 7pm (not like in the UK in this season!!)... Straight away you could tell you were in a different country just by looking at the landscape... (the colour of the earth was orange-reddish, you had olive trees everywhere, and houses with a different style...)
We finally got to the centre of Barcelona and took the metro. Then this nice guy came to see if we were ok or needed some help to find our way. He spoke a good English and even better French. Actually he was from Brazil and during our trip we will find out that Barcelona is full of Brazilians!
He dropped us near our hotel, very close to the Ramblas, nice location. We left our luggage in the room and then headed for a tapas bar... and of course guess what nationality the waiter was!!! Yep, Brazilian again. After our meal we went home straight away (yes, I used the word "home" on purpose cos I used to refer to the hotel as our house or flat... hehe!) and got into bed to be ready for our 1st visit the following morning!
