Barcelone est reputee pour son architecture, en particulier pour l'oeuvre exceptionnelle qu'a accompli Antoni Gaudi. Son oeuvre la plus connue est certainement l'eglise de la Sagrada Familia, immense mais toujours inachevee a ce jour. Elle est en construction permanente depuis 1882, et est financee par des donations privees. Aujourd'hui, on estime que l'eglise sera entierement finie en 2026.
