27 juillet: c'est mon dernier jour!!!

On se rend au shokudo pour manger avec le p'tit groupe, il fait une chaleur! Donc finalement, on ne fait pas grand chose de la journée: trop chaud pour se balader... Bea commence à ranger ses affaires (elle partait le 4 août) et moi de même!

Vers 20H30 Chinatsu et Don viennent nosu chercher pour aller manger des suhi. C'est trop sympa! On s'installe à une table et y a les sushi qui défilent sur la courroie transporteuse... Donc il suffit de se servir. Et si on souhaite autre chose (qui n'est pas sur le tapis), eh bien il suffit de commander en appelant l'interphone. Et ensuite notre numéro est indiqué sur l'assiette, et il suffit de prendre!

Moi qui n'aimait pas les sushi en France, j'ai trouvé ça plutôt bon au Japon!!! Y a carrément plus de choix.

July 27th: my last day!!!

At lunch time we went to the shokudo to meet up with the group, it was boiling hot! So in the end we didn't do much as it was way too hot to go for a walk or anything... Bea started packing her stuff (as she was leaving on August 4th) - and me too!

Round 8.30pm Chinatsu and Don came to pick us up to go and have sushi! It was a very fun evening! We sat at a table and there was this conveyor belt with all the little plates on... So we just had to help ourselves! And if we wanted something else, something that wasn't on the conveyor belt, we just had to call on a kind of phone and ask. Then they would give us a number to be found on a plate with the food we had ordered, and that was it!

I remember I didn't like sushi in France, but here in Japan I quite liked them! And there was a wider variety as well.

Et là on est en train de cuire 2 okonomiyaki... On a essayé avec du boeuf, du poulpe et des crevettes. Tous délicieux! En fait dès que y en a un qu'était près, on le partageait, comme ça on goûtait à tout!

Here we are cooking two okonomiyaki! We had some with beef, octopus and shrimps. They were all delicious! As soon as we had finished cooking one okonomiyaki, we split it in 4 so that we could try all of them!

Vers 20H, Chinatsu vient nous chercher et on part manger okonomiyaki... Il y a donc Béa, moi, Chinatsu, Hugo et Mazz. Le resto est trop sympa et on s'asseoit à une table. En fait, on est pratiquement assis au sol (sur des coussins) et on met nos jambes dans un espèce de trou, c'est assez marrant! Sur la table y a une grande plaque chauffante où on doit faire cuire les okonomiyaki. On choisit donc ce qu'on veut commender et après ils nous apportent la préparation dans un bol. Ensuite à nous de la verser sur la plaque, de l'étaler et de la retourner (comme une crêpe!) C'est super sympa à faire, très convivial et en plus on assaisonne à notre goût! On en a commandé 4 comme ça, toutes avec des ingrédients différents. Trop bons...

Around 8pm, Chinatsu came to pick us up at the student hall to go and eat okonomiyaki... So it was Bea, me, Chinatsu, Hugo and Mazz. The restaurant was really nice and cosy, so  we took a seat. Actually we were almost sat on the floor (on cushions) and our feet were in a kind of hole...it's quite funny! On the table there was a hot plate where we were supposed to fry the okonomiyaki. So we chose what to order and then they brought us a bowl with the mixture on it. It was then up to us to mix everything, season it, pour it on the hot plate and flip it (like a pancake!) It was really cool and very friendly! We ordered 4 different kinds of okonomiyaki, they were all yummy!
