Coucou les amis, me revoilà!

Après les vacs de Noël, il faut dire que les choses sont passées à une vitesse folle. Pour commencer, au boulot j'ai été super débordée vu que pendant mon absence, il n'y a eu aucun suivi des commandes/expéditions, emails des clients etc. La première semaine je suis donc restée à travailler tard tous les soirs... Puis je suis tombée malade, ce qui n'a pas arrangé les choses... Surtout que pendant ce temps-là, mon boss était en Allemagne. Bref, j'ai été absente pdt 3 jours et je me sentais vraiment mal... J'ai ensuite repris des forces et suis revenue au boulot.

J'ai demandé à mon Office Manager de me trouver une nouvelle collègue vu que la situation devenait impossible, ça a mis du temps à être approuvé mais finalement il m'a dit ok. Bon, à ce jour je n'ai toujours pas de collègue et ça commence à bien faire! Surtout que oh grosse frayeur la semaine dernière, mon boss me sort que finalement ce n'est peut-être pas l'idéal de prendre qqn en ce moment - notre maison mère et fournisseurs ont de gros problèmes financiers ce qui nous met dans une situation difficile. En gros, cela nous affecte de plus en plus et notre cashflow risque de ne plus trop aller... Bref, vu les heures supp - non payées bien sûr - que je fais pour moi la sitution est claire: vous me trouvez quelqu'un tout de suite!

Bon, en ce qui concerne les sorties, je m'éclate toujours autant avec ma bande de potes loufoques. Le taf de Jon avait même organisé une super soirée où Jon justement faisait le DJ pendant qqs heures... Trop bien.

Vous vous demandez sûrement "pourquoi cette photo?"... C'est facile. En fait, j'ai décidé de rebaptiser Mush "Mushu", le dragon de Mulan quoi, vu que JE SUIS MULAN! Et cela va encore plus loin, on a formé MUMU, un groupe de rock!!!! Yeah!!! (bon, le premier single est toujours en attente d'être écrit... LOL)

Autre news: le frère de Jon, Jez (ou Jeremy), super sympa au passage, est arrivé à Londres y a un mois maintenant et y a aussi un pote à lui, un français du nom de Cédric. Donc ça fait des nvelles connaissances!

Le weekend dernier je suis allée avec eux au GAY, une boîte... gay, oui, ça porte bien son nom hein LOL, et on a trop bien dansé (jusqu'à 3h du mat au moins!!) et la musique était super cheesy, c'était excellent (style vieux tubes des S Club 7 et hits actuels comme Justin...)

Hey guys, I'm back!

After my Xmas holiday, I have to say things started going really crazy at work. I was overloaded with emails, paperwork and so on. The reason is nobody took over while I was away... So when I got back I usually stayed behind very late. Then I was taken ill so missed work for a couple of days, and in the meantime my boss was in Germany... Thus things got really worse and I was a bit worried too as I felt really sick and awful. Then I recovered and got back to work... such a mess!!

I asked my Office Manager if we could start looking for a replacement for Irina given that the situation for me was getting out of control, I could barely cope with the workload... It took a while for the decision to be approved of, but eventually we got the go ahead. But up to today I still haven't got any colleague, you see... it's really pissing me off!! Esp as last week my boss gave me some really bad news: he basically said that it might not be the right time to recruit sdy at the moment because the situation in Malaysia - our head office and suppliers -  was getting worse, with a lot of financial problems. To sum it up their problems are affecting us too as our cashflow might get lower and lower if we have to pay for the goods up front.

Anyway considering I've been working overtime without getting paid for this, for me the situation was clear: something had to be done and they had to recruit sdy in to help me!

As far as my social life in London is concerned, I'm still having loads and loads of fun with my guys in Stratford. Jon's company organised a party a few weeks ago and Jon DJayed for about 3 hours... it was really cool!

Now you're asking me "why did u put this picture?". Well, the reason is very simple: I decided to give Mush a new nickname, "Mushu" in reference to Mulan's dragon, since I AM MULAN!! And we even started our own rock band, MUMU!!! Yeah!!!!(well, the first single is yet to be released... LOL)

News: Jon's brother, Jez (or Jeremy), has just arrived in London and he's really cool too! A friend of his, a French guy called Cédric, also arrived a month ago. So I've got more people to hang out with!

Last  weekend we went to the GAY .... a gay club. Well, yeah, the name is pretty obvious! We danced a lot! (till about 3am!) The music was very cheesy, it was brilliant (they played old songs by S Club 7 and more recent hits like Justin...)

Bonjour les amis!

Je viens vous donner de mes nouvelles et vous raconter un peu ce que j'ai fait ces dernieres semaines.

En ce moment, je vois beaucoup ma copine grecque Rania. On se rejoint apres le boulot et on va prendre un cafe, se raconter nos p'tites vies, faire du shopping, etc. En ce moment elle cherche du taf, et j'espere vraiment qu'elle va vite trouver sinon elle devra surement retourner en Grece...

Mes vendredis soirs se ressemblent tous un peu plus depuis quelques semaines... Je pars en vadrouille a Stratford chez les mecs et comme d'hab c'est vodka, drinking games, musique pop francaise, et boite pour finir. Et comme toujours je reste dormir chez eux. C'est toujours l'eclate, ils sont adorables!

Je suis allee au cine recemment, j'ai vu The Black Dahlia - pas encore sorti en France apparemment. Pas mal, y a du suspens, mais un peu dur a suivre par moments. J'ai aussi vu The Devil Wears Prada - Le Diable s'habille en Prada - et c'est super sympa. Tres bonne comedie d'ou on sort avec le sourire jusqu'aux levres. Je pense aussi aller voir The Departed (le nouveau Scorsese), ca me tente bien.

J'ai commence a donner des cours de francais a Weasel, et c'est la que j'ai remarque que le francais etait vraiment une langue difficile. Weasel veut etre capable de le parler un peu avant de partir a Angers l'annee prochaine. Mush est lui aussi interesse par notre belle langue, mais il veut d'abord suivre des cours du niveau GCSE avant de venir me voir - c'est vrai que je peux etre tellement intimidante! LOL (je blague, vous l'aurez compris)

Samedi avec Dale on est alles a Borough Market pour manger notre raclette (ouah, ca rime!!!), c'etait pas mal mais evidemment pas aussi bon qu'en France... Apres on s'est promenes tranquillement vu qu'il faisait beau, puis petit tour a Chinatown histoire d'acheter des noodles, et retour au bercail!

Dimanche, on a fait okonomiyaki - plat japonais qui ressemble a une omelette-pancake, vous aurez vu la photo si vous avez regarde mon journal sur le Japon. Cette fois, on a mis des crevettes et des noodles, c'etait super bon - mieux que la derniere fois, on s'ameliore!

J'espere que tout le monde va bien!

Howdy buddies!

I just wanted to give u the freshest news from London and let u know what has been going on over here for the past few weeks.

At the moment I meet up with my Greek friend Rania a lot. We usually go for a coffee after work, go shopping, talk about our little lives... and have a nice girly chat! Rania is currently looking for a job and I do hope she's gonna find something real soon, otherwise she might have to go back to Greece...

My Friday nights are starting to be more or less the same now... I basically go to Stratford to see the guys and as usual we have a fab time drinking vodka, playing some more drinking games, listening to French music, and going clubbing of course! I always end up staying at their place, they are so sweet!

Recently I have been to the cinema twice: I saw The Black Dahlia - not sure it's out in France yet - and The Devil Wears Prada. The first one was good with a lot of suspens, but it was a bit complicated to follow the storyline at some point. The second movie was just fantastic, a brilliant comedy. It leaves u with a big smile on ur face! I think I'm gonna go and see The Departed as it's the new Scorsese and it sounds great.

 I've started to give Weasel some French lessons and that made me realise our language is a difficult one! Weasel wants to be able to speak a bit of French before he goes to Angers next year. Mush is also interested in learning our beautiful language, but first he wants to do a GCSE course to get his confidence up. It's true, I have to admit I can be quite intimidating as a teahcer! LOL (only jokin of course)

On Saturday Dale and I went to Borough Market to try some raclette. It was ok but not as good as what we can find in France of course. Then we went for a walk as the weather was very nice, did some shopping in Chinatown to get some noodles, and then back home!

On Sunday we cooked some okonomiyaki - a Japanese dish that looks like a pancake-omelette, you'll certainly have seen the picture if u've read my Japan Journal. It was very good, better than last time we tried it, so we're learning!!

Dimanche 24/9: direction le marche francais a Hornchurch - tout pres de Upminster. C'etait trop sympa de se promener comme ca sous le soleil. Et puis ensuite de voir les stands de bouffe francaise: viennoiserie, charcuterie, chichis (churros), galettes, crepes... Miam! Avec Dale on s'est pris des churros du coup car il fallait quand meme qu'il goute!

Sunday 24th Sept: let's go to the French Market in Hornchurch - near to Upminster. It was so pleasant to go for a walk in the sun. And then there they were, the French stalls: boulangerie, charcuterie, chichis (kind of long donuts), galettes, crepes... Yummy! Dale and I had churros - of course he had to try those!
