J'ai appris qu'on utilisait ITADAKIMAS différemment de BON APPETIT. Explication: ça veut en fait dire "je commence à manger "ou quelque chose comme ça... Donc on ne peut le dire que si on se met à manger, pas si on veut souhaiter à quelqu'un bon appétit quoi...

I found out that ITADAKIMAS had a different meaning from BON APPETIT (have a good meal). Here's the explanation: it actually means "I start eating", so you can only use it if you really start eating, not if you want to wish somebody to have a good meal...

Eh oui, moi aussi je prends la pose "à la japonaise"! Héhé

Yeah, I also strike a pose in the Japanese style! hehe

Et voilà nos deux "nippones" qui font la pub pour cette excellente crêperie bretonne à Tokyo!!!

17 juillet: nous nous réveillons de bonne humeur en pensant à la bonne crêperie que nous allons faire dans quelques heures... Eh oui, on est toutes les trois super gourmandes!!!

On arrive donc à Harakaju où se trouve le resto. La crêperie est tenue par un français et le chef de cuisine est lui aussi frenchy. Tous les serveurs sont japonais. Donc ça ne peut pas nous décevoir (et puis, Béa et Beniko avaient déjà testé!!!).

La déco est super sympa, et on ne se sent plus du tout au Japon du coup. Déco bretonne, odeurs des galettes et crêpes provenant de la cuisine...

Un des serveurs est métissé français japonais. Donc on pense que le boss est venu au Japon, a rencontré une japonaise, ils se sont mariés et ils ont eu un enfant ensemble: ce serveur en particulier! Plutôt mignon d'ailleurs...

Tout était très bon, biensûr. Et avec Beniko on s'est pris une bolée de cidre chacune (pour pas perdre nos bonnes habitudes!). C'était marrant de voir des Japonais manger des galettes et crêpes! A un moment, le patron est arrivé et nous a salué. Et trop fort, il allait voir ses clients à leurs tables et leur parlaient moitié en français (comme s'ils comprenaient...): "Bonjour, bon appétit", "galette du jour"... Trop cool!

July 17th: we all woke up in a good mood at the prospect of having a nice meal at the creperie we would be going to in a few hours... Yes, the three of us are gourmandes!!!

We headed towards Harakaju where the restaurant is located. This creperie is owned by a Frenchman, the chef is also French, and all the waiters are Japanese, so could not be bad! (anyway Béa and Beniko had already checked the place out!!!).

The deco is really cool and you don't feel like you're in Japan anymore. A weird feeling. Breton deco, appealing smell of galettes and crepes coming from the kitchen...

One of the waiters is half French half Japanese. We figured out that the boss had come to Japan, met a Japanese woman and later on they had a son: this waiter. Cute by the way...

The food was lovely, of course. And I shared some cider with Beniko (so as not to break the habit!). It was so fun to watch all those Japanese eating galettes and crepes! At some point the boss arrived and greeted us. And oh so funny he went to see the customers and spoke to them in French (as if...): "Bonjour, bon appétit", "galette du jour" (today's special)... So cool!

En rentrant chez notre hôte, on a regardé un peu la télé, histoire de découvrir quoi! C'est super eccentrique (même si ça je le savais déjà!). Je pensais pas que c'était à ce point, je me disais que c'était peut-être pas si général que ça, mais en fait, si... La télé jap ça n'a rien à voir!!!

Back to her place we watched a bit of TV to check it out! It's very eccentric (even though I knew it already!). But I didn't think it was that crazy, I just imagined it was a cliche, but no... Japanese TV is definitely different... and worth having a look at!!!
