Sinon, voilà une autre expression bien "sympa":

Si vous allez à l'est de Londres (l'East End), vous entendrez sûrement "you muppet" qui veut dire "imbécile" ou quelque chose dans le genre. On a donc appris cette expression à Nico et je dois dire qu'il n'a pas arrêté de l'utiliser après...C'est même devenu une de ses expressions préférées, je pense! Il l'a pas mal utilisé pendant le match de la France, appelant Zidane "muppet Zidane"!!!

N.B.: nous avons aussi inventé un tout nouveau mot "FROPPET", contraction de French muppet...

Un autre truc bien marrant c'est qu'à un moment, Dale, Nico et moi étions dans le salon quand Nico demande à Dale: "so do u have to use numbers in ur taf??" TAF!!!!  Whatcha talkin about??? LOL C'était tellement drôle qu'on a décidé d'utiliser ce mot dans la langue anglaise à partir de ce moment-là...

Now time for the funny expressions:

There's one thing ur likely to hear in East London, "you muppet", which basically means "you silly". So we taught this to Nico and I daresay he used it A LOT afterwards!!! It became his favourite expression, I think! He was using it whilst watching football, calling Zidane "Zidane muppet"!

Please note the new expression FROPPET, which is a mix of French and muppet...

Another funny story is Dale, Nick and I were sitting in the front room when suddenly Nico asked Dale: "so do u have to use numbers in ur taf??" TAF!!!! (slang for JOB in French, but means WELSH in English!!!) Whatcha talkin about??? LOL That was soooo funny that we decided to use it in the English language from then on...

Eh oui, rien de tel que des bonnes crêpes françaises pour bien se mettre dans le bain (et dans la bonne humeur) pour France-Corée du Sud...

D'ailleurs, heureusement qu'elles étaient là les petites crêpes parce que vu le match, on se serait facilement endormis...Pfff...

True, there's nothing better than French crepes to prepare urself to watch France-South Korea... all this to be in a good mood, too ;-)

BTW luckily we had those lovely crepes cos when watching the match I almost fell asleep...Pfff...

Et voilà la fameuse photo de Nico en fan de Bon Bon avec ma casquette de l'Angleterre!

Je précise, je ne supporte pas les British, c'est juste que pour le concert, Anita m'avait conseillé d'acheter une casquette pour éviter une insolation (il crevait de chaud) et c'est la première que j'ai trouvée... au one-pound shop en plus...

Samedi, avec Nico, on a fait quelques magasins de musique (Virgin, HMV) et puis on s'est posés dans un Starbucks vu la chaleur qu'il faisait... Ensuite on a rejoint Goulven dans son pub. On s'est gentillement fait offrir du cidre (cette fois Nico a pu tout boire, le cidre était meilleur) avant de passer chez Goulven et commander des pizzas. On a ensuite mangé sur le toit de l'immeuble avec deux potes australiens de Goulven. C'était vraiment cool, et en plus on avait de la musique!

FYI I am NOT supporting the English team, it's just that before the gig Anita strongly recommended I'd buy a cap to avoid sunstroke (it was boiling hot on that day) and this cap was the first I found...at the £1 shop...

On Saturday Nico and I decided to go shopping in music shops (Virgin, HMV) and then we just went for a cold drink at Starbucks (it was so hot we had to!). Later on we made our way towards Goulven's pub (The Yorkshire Grey near Great Portland Street) and G kindly offered us some cider. This time Nico drank it all as the quality was better! Afterwards we went to G's place and ordered some pizzas. We ate on the  building roof with 2 friends of Goulven's who were Australian. It was really cool and what's more we had music! 

Et oui, à l'occasion de la Coupe du Monde et sous l'influence d'un autre francophone (Nico), on a décidé de mettre le drapeau français dans l'appart...la taille!

Nico est donc venu me rendre visite du 15 au 19 juin. On n'a pas perdu de temps, puisque dès son arrivée jeudi on a testé un pub!! Ben oui, le pub local où mes colocs vont en général tous les mardis, pour le quizz. "The Crumpled Horn". Bon, apparemment pour Nico le cidre n'est pas passé cette fois!

Vendredi après le boulot on s'est baladés le long de la Tamise, et bu un délicieux milkshake made in Starbucks. On a fini dans un pub à Whitehall où on s'est fait un délicieux chili con carne.

Après ça, rien de tel qu'une petite balade...jusqu'à Buckingham Palace! Ben on ne pouvait pas ne pas passer le bonjour à la Queen!!! On s'est donc d'office invités chez elle pour une Garden Party le dimanche 18, avec au programme BBQ et crêpes... Biensûr on blaguait...

En rentrant à l'appart on a un peu fait les fous (d'où la photo de Nico en fan de Bon Jovi et supporter de l'Angleterre!), on était les seuls debout (ouh ouh... les p'tits joueurs étaient déjà couchés!!!)

Yeah, due to one major event (i.e. the World Cup) and under the influence of another French person (Nico), I had to put the French flag in the flat!!! 

Nico came to visit me from June 15th till 19th. We didn't waste time as on the very same day he arrived we headed to the local pub in Upminster (that's where my flatmates usually go every Tuesday for the pub quizz)."The Crumpled Horn". Weeeel, it seems like this time cider wasn't the best choice for Nico... He could barely drink it!

On Friday after work I met up with Nick and we went for a walk along the river Thames and drank a delicious milkshake made in Starbucks!!!

We ended up in a Wetherspoon pub near Whitehall and had chili con carne. After this, we decided we could still make the most of the day by going for a walk...up to Buckingham Palace! Well, come on we could not possibly forget to say HELLO to the Queen!!! We then decided we'd have a special Garden Party on Sunday 18th, with a BBQ and crepes...Sure we were kiddin' ourselves...

Back home we started cracking up and acting crazy (hence the picture of Nico as a Bon Jovi and England fan!!). We were the only ones up (boo boo... li'l boyz were already in bed!!)
